Abstracting the Landscape
	This is the view out of my studio window. I've been using this scene for a series of drawings and paintings over the past few months. I am intrigued by the complexity and confusion presented. The almost total lack of a horizon line to ground you. I like how one mass or shape or texture mashes up against another one. I decided to take pictures as I worked on one drawing, as much for my own benefit as any other reason, to try and figure out what was going on in the work I was doing. Maybe these will be helpful, or at least interesting, for others to see also.
